First International Graduate Student Conference on
Diverse Approaches to Linguistics 2011 (IGDAL)

The School of Language Sciences and the Department of Linguistics at the Hebrew University represent a variety of approaches in the field of linguistics and languages. This conference aims to bring young scholars from diverse perspectives together in order to encourage new connections and mutual understanding.
Graduate students not having defended a Ph.D. in Linguistics by October 2011 are invited to submit abstracts in various fields of Linguistics.
Papers are allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions and discussion. Contributions can focus on results from completed as well as ongoing research. Presentations should describe original, unpublished work.
The conference will open with a lecture given by Prof. Malka Rappaport Hovav, Head of the School of Language Sciences, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Abstracts instruction: 1.5-2 pages, including data, discussion, references, examples and diagrams. Font no smaller than 11, PDF format. State explicitly the theoretical framework. Papers will appear in the proceedings of IGDAL, which will be published online.

שייערך באוניברסיטה העברית (קמפוס הר הצופים) ביום ראשון, 23.10.2011
המחלקה לבלשנות באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים עוסקת במחקר ובהוראה של נושאים בלשניים ולשוניים מגוונים. ברצוננו להפגיש תלמידי מחקר העוסקים בתחומים שונים בבלשנות, על מנת להגדיל את ההבנה והתקשורת בין החוקרים הצעירים, ולהעמיק את היכרותם עם תחומים בלשניים נוספים.
אנו מזמינים תלמידי מחקר בבלשנות לשלוח תקציר הרצאה בנושא מחקרם, או בנושא מחקר שכבר הושלם אך טרם פורסם, תוך כדי התמקדות בשיטת מחקרם. זמן ההרצאה הוא 20 דקות להרצאה ו-10 דקות לשאלות ודיון. אנו מצפים שיגיעו גם תלמידי מחקר מחו”ל ולכן נבקש להציג את ההרצאות באנגלית. הכנס ייפתח בהרצאה של ראש ביה”ס למדעי הלשון, פרופסור מלכה רפפורט-חובב.
על התקציר להיות באורך 1.5-2 עמ’, שיכללו נתונים, דיון, הפניות, דוגמאות וטבלאות במידת הצורך, כתוב בגופן 11 לפחות, בפורמט PDF. יש לציין את המסגרת התיאורטית בתקציר. המשתתפים יוכלו לפרסם את הרצאתם בדברי הכנס שיפורסמו ברשת.
משלוח תקצירים לכתובת: igdal2011@gmail.com . שם הקובץ לא יכלול את שמו של השולח. בגוף האימייל נא לציין את שם השולח, ההשתייכות המוסדית, כתובת המוסד, מס’ טלפון וכתובת האימייל.
